Aalso, zu erst mal habe ich vergessen, dass ich meine ursprünglichen Fächer (Piano und Creative Writing/Poetry) gewechselt habe, noch bevor das neue Semester überhaupt angefangen hat. Ich habe stattdessen jetzt Intro to Fitness, damit ich auch nach Basketball noch etwas gesaegt treibe, und Jewelry and Metalsmithing, wo ich letzte Woche mein erstes Projekt fertig gestellt habe:
Einen Schlüsselanhänger/ Armband. Alles was ihr seht habe ich selber aus Metall gemacht, es gesaegt, gefeilt, geschliffen, ausgeglüht (man erhitzt Metall und kuehlt es danach ganz schnell wieder ab, macht es biegsam und leichter zu saegen und allgemein bearbeiten) und natuerlich geformt und zurechtgebogen *stolzsei*:
Allgemein macht es ziemlich viel Spass, ist aber auch wahnsinnig anstrengend, ich glaub ich bekomme Blasen an meinen Fingern O.o.
Intro(duction) to Fitness ist auch ziemlich cool. Wir gehen zweimal die Woche in den Gewichtheberaum und Trainieren, Freitag ist unser Fun-tag, da spielen wir irgendwelche Spiele (meistens Dutchball) und die anderen zwei Tage arbeiten wir an unserer generellen Fitness, also Condition, Strength, Flexibility und sowas.
Finals, also die grossen Tests am Ende des Semesters hatten wir nebenbei uebrigens wirklich nicht :)))).
So was habe ich noch nicht.... achja, Basketball nimmt mich ziemlich in anspruch. Letztes WE war Mustang Madness, ein Basketball-Festival an unserer Schule wo Teams aus den ganzen USA angereist sind. Wir hatten die ganze Zeit volles Haus!! Wir haben unsere beiden Spiele die wir hatten da leider verloren aber naja... So sah es aus als unsere Jungs gespielt haben (haben gewonnen):
Ich musste uebrigens zwei Spiele hiervon arbeiten, aber es hat damit geendet, dass ich vor einem Getraenkeautomaten mit einer meiner Freundinnen gesessen hab und wir uns die beiden Spiele angeschaut haben, niemand ausser eine Person wollte etwas zu trinken, dass nenn ich mal Arbeit :D.
Wir hatten uebrigens in der kompletten letzten Woche 8 Basketballspiele, 6 Jv und zwei Varsity. Varsity ahben wir eins verloren eins gewonnen und jv haben wir drei verloren und drei gewonnen.
Die drei diw wir gewonnen haben waren gestern bei einem Turnier. Wir haben also alle spiele auf dem Turnier gewonnen *woopwoop*. Der Varsity Coach war nicht mit hat uns aber allen eine SMS geschickt: "Congratulations!! What a great day for Lady Stang Basketball!! Proud of you all!". Ich hab mich riesig gefreut, weil ich sogar in allen spielen gespielt und auch gescored habe (Freiwurf im ersten und Lay-up jeweils im zweiten und dritten Spiel). Ausserdem hatte ich allgemein nen ziemlich lustigen Tag und ich habe das Gefuehl, ich fuehle mich immer wohler im Team. Nachdem ich dann gegen 6:15pm nachhause gekommen bin sind wir dann auch gleich wieder los, denn Volleyballturniere die von den oertlichen Kirchen aus stattfinden, hat angefangen. Die naechsten 5 Samstage wird Volleyball gespielt :) Ich wuenschte ich koennte zu allen gehen, bin aber schon ziemlich verplant.
Denn naechsten Samstag habe ich meine erste und wohl auch einzige wirkliche Probe fuer den All-State choir. Ich bin schon total aufgeregt. Die Musik dafuer bekomme ich naechste Woche und habe ausser der Probe am 25ten nur zuahause zum ueben und dann noch die drei Tage in

Das Konzert schliesst an diese drei Tage an und Gale hat sich extra frei genommen um sich zsm. mit Daniel das Konzert anzuschauen.
Noch etwas anderes was mit Musik zutun hat:
ICH BIN IM MUSICAL
Ich hab zwar nur eine kleine Rolle im Chor, aber immerhin habe ich es ueberhaupt geschafft!!! Die Auditions waren schrecklich weil ich an dem Tag wo ich singen und schauspielern musste total krank war und mein eines Basketballspiel in 20min anfing. Ich also zum vorsingen in meinen Basketballsachen, nachdem wir uns schon aufgewaermt hatten, total verschnupft, drei minuten Zeit, und wieder gegangen. Das vortanzen war am naechsten Tag, Ich - hasse tanzen - immernoch total krank, bin aber trotzdem hin und Freitag war es dann offiziell :).
Ich freu mich total und am Ende dieses Monats fangen wir auch dafuer dann schon an zu Proben. Die Vorfuehrungen sind vom 24-26 April :).
Im Bezug zur Nationalhymne und dem EF Video gibt es leider noch nix neues, aber ich lass es euch wissen.

Alright, finally an other post! My last wo weeks have been pretty busy. We'll see if I can remember everything. By the way, the weather here is crazy! One day it is 50 degrees the next it is 20 and then back to 50. Where's the spring at??
Anyways, I forgot to tell you all about the changes that I made with my schedule. I was supposed to have Functional Keyboarding and Creative Writing the second semester, but I changed them into Intro to Fitness and Jewelry and Metalsmithing. In Jewelry and Metalsmithing I just finished my very first project:
a keychain/ bracelet. I did everything by myself, the sawing, filing ,sanding and annealing - that makes the metal softer and easier to work with. That is what it look like in the end:

It is so much fun but a lot of work, too! I feel like I am getting blisters on my hands O.o
Intro(duction) to Fitness ist pretty good as well. We go to the weight room two times a week and Friday is Fun-Day, when we usually play Dodgeball. The other two day we work on our general Fitness, do Push-ups, Sprints, all that good stuff ;).
We didn't have to take finals by the way!
Alright, what else is there... oh yeah, Basketball is keeping me busy. Last week-end we had Mustang-Madness, a basketball Hoop-Festival with Teams from all over the States. It was crowded the whole week-end! We lost both of our games but at least the boys did win:
I had to work concessions for two of the games but in the end me and Abbie, one of my friends, ended up standing in front of a soft-drink machine, watching the games, cause nobody wanted to buy anything. That's the kinda work I like ;).
I totally forgot to mention that we had 8 games this week, 6 jv (3-3) and 2 (1-1) varsity.
Three of the 6 jv games were yesterday at a tournament and we won all of them! The varsity coach didn't come with us but he send out a text to everybody, saying: "Congratulations!! What a great day for Lady Stang Basketball!! Proud of you all!". I was so happy, especially because I got to play and scored in each game (only 5 points tota, but who cares, I scored :D). I had a great day in general, I feel like I am becoming a part of the team more and more. After I got home around 6:15 pm, we left right away to go to the volleyball tournament. It is organized by the local churches. Each church plays against an other church for the next 5 Saturdays. I really hope I can go to all the games, but that's probably not happening cause I got stuff to do.
Next Saturday I have my first and only real practice to learn the music for the Kentucky All-State choir. I am ver excited already! I am supposed to get the music next week and other than the rehearsal on the 25th I have to teach me the music myself. And on the 5th of February I leave to go to

Once I am there I have three more days to practice and then we have a concert on the following Friday, the 8th.
Something else that has to do with music:
I MADE THE MUSICAL
I only have a small part cause I am just gonna be in the choir, but at least I made it! I hated the auditions because I was so sick the day I auditioned and I was getting ready to have a basketball game. So I went in there, in my jersey after we already warmed up, trying to act and to sing. it was horrible and I was so glad I got out of there. The dance auditions were the next day. I hate dancing, so I am kind of glad just to be in the choir. Although I was still sick, I went to the auditions and Friday they announced everything :). I am really excited, we start practicing at the end of this month. The actual musical is April 24th to 26th :).
